This was another smashing success on the Daniel Fast. We did not add the spinach, but next time I will, as it will cook down, and we used only black beans (3 cans), rather than the garbanzo beans and kidney beans. I am sure you could use dried beans, if you prefer, just adjust your cook time. I did not add any hot peppers, which I regretted. It wasn’t spicy at all, so we actually improved that by adding this spicy salsa that we made. It made a huge difference and we loved it. It’s packed full of fresh veggies and you don’t even realize it because most of them cook down.
